Guest Designer Monday

Hello Eyelet Outlet friends. We are please to have a Alice Carman as our Guest Designer for December.

My name is Alice Carman and I’m super excited to guest design for Eyelet Outlet.  I love making cards so when I was asked to create a few samples,  I was over the moon excited.  I’ve been asked what my card making style is and honestly, I have no idea.  I dabble in everything…after all its crafting and who doesn’t like that!  However, I do like to layer my cards.  I use a lot of product so I guess you could say it’s not clean and simple.  I also use a lot of stickers and alphabets…love them!  Eyelet Outlet has great brads that are perfect embellishments for card making.

We gave Alice some of our favorite holiday eyelets and asked her to create some fabulous cards to share with you. Here's a look at what she came up with.

Ho Ho Ho...

Supplies: Bo Bunny Mistletoe collection, Spellbinder die and Tim Holtz die

Making Things Bright card

Supplies: Hampton Art Stamp, Canvas Corp paper, white pen, Paper Smooches stamp and Stickles

And we asked her to create a little non-holiday card

Eye-Scream card

Supplies: Bo Bunny Mistletoe collection and Taylored Expressions Stamps

We'd like to thank Alice for sharing these fun cards with us today.

To see more of Alice's cards please visit her blog Cards by Alice.

There is still time for you to get your holiday cards in the mail!

Have a great day.

Design Team Inspiration with Nicole

A big hello to all of you from me (Nicole)  here in the North of Norway... which you as you might know is just hop skip and jump from the North Pole!  It is a wonderful time of the year here in Norway and because we are above the Arctic Circle we have the dark time of the year... yep right now we don't have the sun... It comes up to the horizon so we have twilight for about 2 or 2.5 hours but never actually crosses the horizon so the rest of the day is dark.  I don't mind it so much but it is hard to try and get pictures of projects.. really hard! But I try and today I actually have two types of projects to share with you today... a layout and gift tags for Christmas presents.

On this layout I used both the big snowflake brads and the small snowflake brads... Each of the big paper snowflakes I used a clear rhinestone bling

I love to make tags at Christmas for presents and I have found that brads are the perfect thing to embellish them with. I made three different kinds of tags this year.  The first were the same kind I made last year but this time I used the new 2012 Christmas brads... If you would like to see the tutorial for how to make these tags you can click here....

For this year I made two other kinds of tags...One out of buttons and brads and the other out of brads and rub ons...

I used the following brads when making all three types of tags...
I also used the Mitten Ribbon to coordinate with the holiday mitten brads.

Merry Christmas!

Design Team Wednesday with Jingle

Hello! Today I have three fun holiday cards to share with you using some fun holiday brads!

Gumdrop Christmas

I used the fun gumdrop brads on this one. Instead of going with lots of bright colors, I decided on a homey feel, making the brads the pop of both color and whimsy for this card.

Mitten Wreath

For this one, I hung the adorable mitten brads from the wreath as a fun accent! I love the colors in this mitten collection!

Christmas Walrus

And this last one is just plain FUN! A SUPER cute Christmas walrus ready to play Santa! YAY! LOL! I hope you have enjoyed these fun cards! Have fun creating!

Design Team Monday with Susie

Happy Monday!!
I have three cards to show you today.  All of my cards are birthday themed.  I know it is the holiday season, but we always need birthday cards.  Right?
So here is my first card.  I used some of our new bling on my colored image.  This bling is like no other - because it actually sticks to the paper.  I loved using these pearls because I know they will still be on the card when it is sent through the mail.

My next card is a fun little birthday number for you.  I think these eyeglass brads are super "cool" and I hope you do too. Now this card could be for a cool guy OR girl.
 Here is a closer look:

And now to complete my birthday card spree!  Here is a decidedly feminine birthday card with lots of extra bling on it.  These pearls are just the absolute best!

Here is a close up of the image and the pearls:

Thanks for taking a look at my creations for Eyelet Outlet today. I hope you have enjoyed today's post.  I would love for you to see more of my work at my blog, The Dies Have It.
