Design Team Monday with Annette

Hello everyone. This is new design team member Annette. Before I share my card, I must say how excited I am. This is my first post and I couldn't be happier. I've been a big fan of the Eyelet Outlet for awhile now. Let the fun begin! It's finally beginning to look like spring where I live. In fact, my neighbors just started mowing their lawns this weekend. I can't think of a better way to celebrate the nice, spring weather than with a card full of flowers, cute bumble bees and soft, pastel colors.

Supplies:
Funky Bee Brads
Flower Groovy Quicklet
Orange Brads
Pearl Brads
Paper: Wassau, My Mind's Eye
Stamps: A Jillian Vance Design
Want a closer look? Here is an image of the flowers and bees. Aren't they cute? The best part is the bees don't sting and the flowers won't make allergy sufferers sneeze!!

Enjoy your day. I hope it's nice!!

Oh, and thanks for stopping by the blog today!

Design Team Monday with Susie

First of all, I must admit I know nothing about sports....NOTHING.  But I do know that people who DO know about sports have been talking about basketball lately.  So here is a cute little card with four sweet basketball brads from the mini ball collection in a vertical row.  Isn't your eye immediately drawn to them on this card? For my project I used papers from the Authentique Apothecary line and a cut file from the Silhouette store.  Cutting my little man from vinyl is wonderful because it is self adhesive.  This was a pretty simple card.  I even typed the sentiment.  Easy peasy!!  But it's those little basketballs that are the star of this show.  Now for card #2:

Here is another quick card for you.  I used the Butterfly Brads and the Mini Butterfly Brads as my focal point on my die cut and stamped tag (from PaperTrey Ink).  I thought the colors were just so sweet and springy.  I wish I could tell you what paper I used on this....but it was a scrap laying on my desk.  Sorry about that!  I also used a Stippled Jewel Brad at the top of my tag and I think it finished it off perfectly.

I hope you like today's ca rds.I am showcasing the first one on my blog today.
I welcome you anytime at The Dies Have It.

Design Team Monday with Nicole

Good morning Eyelet Outlet Fans
Hi It is Nicole and I have two cards to share with you today.  Both cards have the beautiful butterfly brads. You can find them in the Eyelet Outlet Store (Butterfly brads and Mini Butterfly brads)

I also have some close-ups to share.  Can you see how I bent the wings to make the brads look like the butterflies have just landed there.  I just love that you can use these brads both flat and with the wings bent slightly together.

All the paper is from Simple Stories.  The button, twine and flowers are from my personal collection. Have a great day!

Meet Annette!

Hello Eyelet fans! Today we are pleased to announce another new addition to our Design Team.

Annette Witherspoon

My name is Annette Witherspoon. I have two children – Jack, age 8, and Elise, age 5, and a wonderful, supportive husband. I started dabbling in paper crafts almost 10 years ago - shortly after receiving a handmade wedding card. I fell in love with the idea of creating one-of-a-kind cards made straight from the heart. Two-and-a-half years ago, I ramped up my crafting endeavors when I started my blog, www.aspoonfullofsugarcrafts.blogspot.com, which is a play on my real name. A is the first letter of my first name, and Spoon is the last half of my last name.

Since then, I started doing design work, entering challenges and submitting to magazines. I have designed for
  • Stampendous,
  • Pink by Design Stamps,
  • Frosted Designs challenge blog,
  • Joy’s Life stamps, and
  • Currently for A Jillian Vance Design and Love My Tapes.

I also wrote for ScrapStreet Magazine, an online scrapbooking and papercrafting magazine. My work has been published in Paper Craft’s Magazine and Scrapstreet Magazine.

Before becoming a wife, mother and paper crafter, I worked in public relations/marketing for 10 years.

Please give a warm welcome to Annette! We look forward to seeing her beautiful work with Eyelet Outlet products!

Have a great weekend.

Design Team Monday with Megan

Hello Eyelet Outlet Fans, Megan here today! I have a couple of bright and sping-y cards to share with you today. This first one I used the  Eyelet Outlet Sitting Bird Brads Bright to create a scene with birds sitting on a clothesline. I masked the center of the card and stamped the background stamp in a bright pink to create a border. The black line was drawn in after with a pen.

Supplies:
Cardstock: American Crafts
Twine and Clothespins: Canvas Corp
Stamps: Hero Arts and Joy's Life
Ink: Clearsnap

Here is another simple one. I used the Eyelet Outlet Fresh Flower Brads Pastel along with some Eyelet Outlet Jewel Bling Strips Orange to create this bright and cheery card. I cut two of the jewels from the remaining part of the jeweled strip, that I had applied to the bottom, and added them to the centers of the flowers so that they match.

Cardstock: American Crafts
Patterned paper: Glitz
Ink: Clearsnap
Stamp: Unity

I hope you all had a great Easter! Thanks for stopping by!
